Feeling Rather at Home

So, she’s up and blogging finally (insert girley sequel). It’s been 6 long years since I completed my Journalism/ broadcasting degree and I’m finally getting back into the swing of things. Although I chose not to pursue my degree further, writing is a huge part of me, it runs through my veins and is on my mind every day. The fear of starting a daunting blog and website is about the only thing that has held me back, until now (wooo hooo). I love words, I absolutely adore people and I’m hoping that I can combine both of these loves and share a little something with you each week.

I feel right at home writing down what’s racing through my head. I’m forever analysing, over thinking, contemplating and there’s always a reoccurring monologue at play inside. I find that I argue with myself on the daily about what I should be doing, what I should have done, how I should look and how I should act. I tend to second guess my choices far too often, this is a trait that I am working on. I am slowly learning how to become a more confidant woman, and I’m learning how to embrace the love and admiration from the gorgeous people around me. And I am learning to release my creative side and finally make myself happy.

I plan on sharing lots with you, I want to share everything I love and adore right now.  Everything that’s on trend, stylish and new. I will introduce you to the amazing new and upcoming Ausie businesses that are around and I will be getting excited about the things I’m putting into our new home #housespam.

As you will get to know me, you will discover that I’m all about styling my new abode that we work hard for, my handsome fiancé Ben that works intense hours away, the wee Harvey family that I long for and the crazy beautiful life that I live.

Yay! You started a blog! 🙂 Beautiful post and so truthfully written. You are definitely a natural writer as well as stylist. And don’t worry, I also fretted for months about starting a blog before I finally got up the nerve to click “Publish”. There is just something so raw (and scary) about blogging that is so different to writing in a journalism or print capacity. Looking forward to reading more posts! xx
