Fam Bam Holiday #1

Crazy fun filled adventure awaits us. It’s literally at the tip of our fingers. I can taste the salty air of the Bahamas, I can feel the holiday vibes washing over me while road tripping it through Canada. Only five weeks until we embark on the trip of a life time. The Harvey Bam Bam count down IS ON!

My whole life I’ve wished I could live in an American movie set. I’ve always imagined myself living in a huge white weather board historical home, eating at the cute diners with coffee on tap, experiencing the ever changing seasons, and snow, ohhhh don’t get me started on playing in the snow.

When our best friends invited us to their dreamy Bahamas wedding, that’s when our mini vacation expanded. We didn’t want to travel all that way, to simply fly back home again a few days later.

After the wedding we will be spending 5 days in New York (bagels in central park), three weeks road tripping it around Canada (wood cabin fire snuggling, and hopefully snowboarding) and then finishing off our holiday in San Francisco (Alcatraz tour eat your heart out).

I’m excited about all the places we are going but I’m most excited about getting into a car and just driving. Driving where ever we want, stopping whenever we fancy, feet up on the dash taking every inch in. This is one of those “movie set dreams” that is just going to be out of this world awesome.

This holiday is what my Husband and I desperately need, to get away from reality for an entire month. While we are away, I plan on writing about our journey. At each stop I hope to write a little something and share some incredible photos. Feel free to comment suggestions so we can check out the things we don’t know about and follow along to see where we end up.

Maybe you will feel like you’re on this amazing journey with us, as I can’t fit you in our suitcase xox

How exciting, what a fab trip!

I’m an Australian that moved to Canada 6 months ago and absolutely love it!!! It is a beautiful country and the people are so friendly. You will have a ball.

You will have the most amazing time. We’ve just come back from New York for our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time. Definitely make sure you take your time in Central Park – it is absolutely massive and so beautiful! Oh and the best advice I have is to not rush through anything, pick and choose one or two things to do each day so you can really take your time doing them and enjoying them. I had the best “living like a local” experiences when I slowed down and followed this advice!

Check out pig island in Bahamas and swim with little wild pigs.
Also Fuerza Bruta show in NYC is a must see thing. You can try to find tickets online nearly for free sometimes.

PLEASE do yourself a favour and go to Grand Central Station in NYC and go to Shake Shack! They have the best burgers EVER, like best in the country! And while you’re there you can check out the whispering arches which are featured in a few movies!! SO FUN!

Oh Kyree you will have a blast!!! My husband and I road tripped around France (when he proposed actually!) 10 years ago – shit I’m getting old! – and those memories are still so fresh in my mind. I hope it is full of wonderful wonderful times for you both, but just remember even the shitty times when travelling turn out to be awesome memories. We often refer to the time we were kicked out of our hotel early and ended up eating croissants in the car park of a petrol station (not exactly how I’d dreamt of it!) or being lost on a motorway circling Brussles for hours not being able to work out how to get IN only to then get lost again on our way OUT 2 days later!! At the time not all that fun – but looking back, absolutely the moments that shaped our relationship.
Ohhhh so much fun to be had!!!
