Our Unisex Baby Nursery

The day has finally come to share our wee one’s nursery. Most of you know the journey it’s taken to get this little bundle of joy and creating this little haven for our baby has been a long awaited dream of mine.

Bohemian meets wilderness theme…
This room is a mixture of everything we love, because lets face it, this room is more for mummy and daddy until bub can actually take it all in and enjoy the space. We aren’t finding out if it will be a little Miss or Mr so i’ve tried to keep it as gender neutral as possible. Initially my head was just EXPLODING with ideas, so I teamed up with Bell from Nest Design Studio, who created an E Board so my vision could come to life (you have to check out her IG feed for inspo!!!).

We went with neutral colours such as mustards, grey tones and crisp whites; these colours will still allow me to mix in blush pink and blues once we know what we are having.

Traditionally nurseries can be made up of cartoon pictures, disney characters and intense gender colours like bright blues and pinks. But we chose to do a more modern take on the traditional nursery. Still incorporating animals and baby items so it has a baby-room vibe, but making it stylish enough that it won’t need to be completely overhauled and updated in 6 months time when baby is older (although i’m sure this room will be continually changing).
