For me to enjoy my day to day life, I need to feel good and comfortable in what I’m wearing. One thing I’ve always struggled with is choosing clothes though and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I’ve got a full wardrobe but never anything to wear. My day can be totally hijacked if I’m not comfortable in what i’m wearing, then my mood follows suit. I’ve realised recently that if you choose basic pieces that you can wear multiple ways, then your expanding your wardrobe without expanding your wallet. I teamed up with Marks & Spencer to show you how you can pull of a “less is more” wardrobe using only “9” timeless pieces. These are timeless and quality clothes that can be worn all year round showing you multiple looks (all of which I felt amazing in).
I love this outlook on fashion. We can be totally overwhelmed with what’s new, the latest trends, keeping on top of updated looks. But when it comes down to it, I ALWAYS go back to several staple pieces that I wear on constant rotation. To nail this “less is more & Love Life” attitude then you need pieces that you can layer in all seasons, allowing clothes to be worn for all occasions and not just a one off moment. Denim, winter knits, light dresses, soft patterns and a splash of colour are staples in this edit.
Combo one: White blouse & Denim staples. Teamed with either a chunky knit or bold scarf to change the look.
Combo Two: White dress staple. Teamed with a chunky knit to change the look to suit seasons.
Combo Three: Soft floral dress staple. Teamed with either a chunky knit or a denim jacket to suit all occasions.
