If you’re on the hunt for a magical place that sells delish coffee, good food, lush picnic sections as well as an amazing back drop for family snaps, then I’ve found the PERFECT place in Perth! The Packing Shed really is a hidden magical gem of a place. Amongst the windy narrow roads up in the hills, surrounded by incredible views, horses & miles of super green grass! Before you drive into the gates of The Packing Shed, you feel as if you’re in a completely different world, one where fairies fly about freely and the glistening winter never ends.
There’s plenty of free parking and the cafe is a brief walk up the gravel road. As I was walking into the grounds I was immediately invisioning bringing Ben and Alaska back here in the spring! When she’s able to walk around and to picnic in the grass as a family! This spot really is superb for large family gatherings.
I met with my bestie Sherise & her sweet daughter. We ordered take away hot drinks and hot chocolate brownies, because today was exceptionally bloody freezing! They offer cooked food as well as a cabinet full of deliciously naughty looking treats. They even have blankets to borrow to keep our tootsies toasty warm. We grabbed our order and strolled down to the grass, laid out our blankets and set up camp to picnic!
We were able to unwind, chat about random crap, watch our girls gently beat each other up & drool all over each other. We took a bucket load of photos and didn’t want to leave!
