It’s been so much fun doing up Alaska’s room over the past year. I’m forever moving things around, adding fairy lights, adding pops of colour & making it as magical as possible for our wee girl.
I’ve been collecting vintage pieces for years, in the hope they would one day end up in one of my kids rooms. BUT I also choose to shop SMALL so that I’m supporting smaller hard working business. Now that Alaska is old enough to play and explore, it totally makes my heart BURST seeing her besotted with her own room. I can see her imagination running wild, as she crawls around every inch of this magical space.

ROSE GARLAND
- Find a branch with a unique shape- go searching with your kids to make it special
- faux roses from Big W or Ikea or Kmart. Cheaper the better
- Lay out the roses next to each other, place them where you’d want them to hang
- Use finishing line to tie at the end of each stem & tie each line to the branch
- hang each rose at different heights so it forms a pattern and so they don’t touch
- tie the branch at each end and use this to hang on a wall hook (I’ve used a sticky wall hook that can be easily removed).
