Trying to entertain your sweet-but-sassy-energetic-angelic-angel of a toddler can be a struggle most days. And being cooped up at home can sometimes make you and your toddler bat shit CRAZY! Cabin fever is real (well in my house it is anyway HA!)
Here is my round up of toddler friendly places to go in Perth, that’s fun for parents too!

Great little cafe with a play area for the kids. Brilliant during winter when it’s raining as it’s all under cover

Perfect for Big Groups as there’s a huge outdoor area for the kids to run wild
Yelo – 402 Oxford St, Mount Hawthorn

Core Cider House – 35 Merrivale Rd, Pickering Brook
Perfect for Big Groups. Massive space for kids to run around plus a nature playground
Mandoon Estate – 10 Harris Road, Caversham
Perfect for Big Groups. Great outdoor area for kids to explore plus an inclosed play area for younger kids
Taylors Cafe – 510 Great Northern Hwy, Middle Swan
Great spot to take the kids and they do amazing pancakes
Slate Cafe – 12 Dulwich St, Bennett Springs
Perfect for Big Groups. Plus a large outdoor area with toys for the kids
Parks With Coffee!
Hobart Deli – 45 Hobart St, North Perth
Great little cafe and directly across the road is a fully inclosed park. Perfect for mums group catch ups
Canteen Trigg – 364 W Coast Dr, Trigg
Next to Island Market. But have a playground outside
Woodbridge Reserve Park – First Ave, Woodbridge
Huge fully inclosed park with a cafe
Pirate park – 58 Duncraig Rd, Applecross
Stunning pirate ship park with an amazing view and cafe
Ivey Watson Playground – 34 Kings Park Rd, West Perth
Amazing park for toddlers, age appropriate equipment and cafe
Shipwreck Park – Forrest Road, Hilbert
Fully enclosed huge play ground with BBQs and a cafe
Educational & Fun
Perth Zoo – Get an annual Pass for unlimited free entry
$85 per adult | Kids under 4 are FREE
Alaska’s grandparents buy both Ben and I the annual pass for her birthday so we can take her throughout the year. Great place to go weekly with friends just like you’d go to any other park. If you get a pass, you can go for a couple of hours a week and see different animals each time. There’s also a cafe or bring your own lunch
Zoo School – A to Zoo
$58 | ages 2-5 years | 40 minute classes then can walk around freely afterwards (if you’re a Zoo member like above, then entry is also free)
If you’re going to the zoo weekly anyway, Zoo School as a great way to learn more about the animals with arts, crafts and story time.
Peel Zoo – Sanctuary Drive, Pinjarra
$15 for 3-15 years old & $23 for adults
A fun hands on experience with lots of different animals
Aqua – Unlimited Access Pass
$59 for annual pass
Another great activity to do regularly if you have a pass
Story time at libraries – Perth Cultural Centre, 25 Francis Street, Perth
RhymeTime for children is held every Tuesday at 10:30am and Story Time is every Wednesday at 10:30am in the State Library of WA
All libraries offer toddler story time though so check out your local libraries schedules online.
Scitech – Toddler Fest
$55 Adult | Under age 4 is FREE
Often have toddler focused activities on if you keep an eye on their site for upcoming dates
Messy Mat – Various locations around Perth
$18.50 1 hour | 6 months – 4 Years
Sensory Play with lots of creative and messy fun, prepare to get dirty! See the above link for all locations and the dates to book
Kindy Dance Time – Victoria & WA
$110 for the term | 2-5 years | 30 minute class
Fun dancing to nursery rhymes and making other friends. Great for social skills and confidence building
Water Play
Elizabeth Quay – The Esplanade, Perth
There’s a gorgeous carousel, ice-cream, great coffee shops and a water play section to keep the kids cool
Hyde Park – Vincent St, North Perth
Grab a coffee across the road at the cute Chu Bakery and head to the water park to play
Maylands Waterland – 32 Clarkson Rd, Maylands
Kalamunda Waterpark – Canning Rd, Kalamunda

Fantastic list! We also enjoyed the stay and play at local toy libraries, Gosnells has a good one on the first and third Monday of the month. Completely free, lots of stuff for the kids and there’s cake!
