Those who know me, know I get bored with styled looks in my home verrry easily. This continual change can be extremely expensive if you end up changing every piece in the room, every time you need a little update.

So as i’m nesting away like crazy, i’m also getting super bored with some of the looks in our home. I decided to revamp our bedroom to give it a fresh new vibe just before bub comes along. Instead of knocking down walls and buying expensive new furniture we made minimal changes and still managed to create a whole new space with an “all heart eyes” impact.

We changed up the soft furnishings and added texture with throw cushions.  We replaced the linen with a totally different colour scheme, which is very different to my usual white bed spreads. We added new prints to compliment this new colour pallet which is a such a great cost effective way to make a space look “new”. And of course the FEATURE piece to top off the stylish cake- our new divine floor rug by Armadillo & Co.

Floor rugs are a clever way to add impact to any space with the use of layering and texture. If your room already has carpet, it can look basic and drab in large areas on its own.  Combining a floor rug to the room with a different texture, a stylish pattern and trendy colour scheme can really accentuate the size and feel of the space.

With the help of everyone on Instagram (making the finally decision is always super hard especially with baby brain!) we chose the super soft (non shedding) Tangier floor rug from the Lattitude Collection at Armadillo & Co. We went with the 2×3 meter rug and positioned it slightly off centre to the bed. This way the rug is still very visible under a king bed but also suits the design of our room perfectly.
