Bonnets, Baskets & Beards. Day Out With My Wee Fam.

I’m obsessed with Autumn! All the divine colours, the cooler weather, being able to rug up in chunky knits and drinking hot drinks all day errryyy day (well that’s if I get around to actually drinking them hot lol). Today we ventured out to an orchard in the hills near our home and explored the isles of the fruit trees.

The beauty of the FIFO life we live is that for TEN whole days at a time we get Daddy all to ourselves to do what ever we like. We try to think of something to do that’s new and inexpensive each time he’s home, just to spice our bonding time up a bit.

This orchard has a rustic little shop in a tin shed where you can buy the fruits they grow and some sweets if you fancy something a little more naughty. If you want somewhere to lunchin, then there’s plenty of yummy places in the hills you can venture to after (but they don’t offer anything there). It was $3.50 per person and this allowed us to walk around the trees, take photos and come and go as we please. I’d recommend taking gum boots though as it got rather muddy and I wasn’t prepared for this much dirt ahahah. If it wasn’t such a wet day, you could totally take a picnic blanket and sit amongst the trees and chat away admiring all the gorgeous colours. They have a strict “no picking” policy but admiring from afar is still just as fun.

Would love to hear what you get up to here in Perth, please comment with some suggestions below so we can try them out 🙂

Gorgeous photos Kyree!! I’m loving the change of colours in the trees in the hills at the moment! But no picking!! I would’ve struggled! I think Core Cider House still has picking happening. I know it’s early yet, but you must take Sass to Araluen when the tulips pop!!
